Coachman completes purchase of additional units at Hull based factory

Coachman Caravans, one of the UK’s leading caravan manufacturers, has recently purchased four additional industrial units at its Hull based factory, adding a total of 10,996 sq ft to the factory working area. Three of these units house Coachman’s unique, dedicated aftercare department and the purchase completes a phase of significant investment for the company. The factory, which is situated on Sutton Fields Industrial Estate, now covers an area of 7 acres and has a total factory floor space of 80,000 sq ft.

Coachman Caravans, one of the UK’s leading caravan manufacturers, recently enjoyed unprecedented success at the International Caravan & Motorhome Show 2009. The event, which took place at the NEC in Birmingham from the 13th – 18th October, saw Coachman sell a total of 410 caravans, resulting in £6.8M sales.
Coachman Owner's Club visit factory

Ahead of launching our brand new 2010 range at the October NEC, we invited members of the Coachman Owners Club to once again visit our factory for an exclusive behind the scenes tour. Over 150 members of the team visited on the 26th September 2009, and were guided through the cab shop, degreasing, prep shop, furniture and gas and electric areas – giving them a first hand view of how a Coachman caravan is made.
Coachman charity walkers raise money for Dove House Hospice

A team of 12 Coachman employees successfully completed the gruelling Lyke Wake Walk this summer, raising in the region of £1,000 for a local charity, Dove House Hospice. The Lyke Wake Walk is approximately 42 miles in total and entails walking from one end of the North Yorkshire Moors to the other – which is a formidable feat for even the most experienced of walkers.
