Coachman’s Pastiche 525/4 is crowned Caravan of the Year

August 2013

Coachman Caravan’s Pastiche 525/4 has been crowned Caravan of the Year at a top industry magazine Caravan’s 2013 Caravan Awards.

The Hull-based manufacturer’s Pastiche 525/4 also picked up the Best Family Caravan over £14,000 and Best Layout awards, and its Laser 620/4 model was named Luxury Caravan of the Year, scooping the company’s fourth award.

Coachman’s 2013 models faced stiff competition and were assessed by a rigorous ten-point judging process, which evaluated criteria including innovation in construction, new layouts, value for money and more light-weight caravans.

The achievement comes shortly after Coachman’s Amara 580/5 was also named Best Caravan for Small Families in October, by Practical Caravan magazine.

Jim Hibbs, Managing Director of Coachman Caravans, said:

“It’s fantastic news to have won these prestigious awards from Caravan magazine, and we couldn’t be happier that our Pastiche 525/4 has been recognised as the ultimate caravan for 2013.

“We’ve continued to build on last year’s successful season, delivering models of the highest quality and craftsmanship, with innovative new layouts and design features to meet all the needs of both retailers and customers. With five award wins already, we’ve made a very positive start to the new season.”

Val Chapman, Editor of Caravan Buyer and Group Test Editor of Caravan magazine, said:

“The Coachman Pastiche 525/4 gained the highest marks from our five judges because it gives family caravanners a layout seen nowhere else. This caravan is a masterpiece of layout ingenuity, a configuration that gives the touring caravan market something totally new and refreshing.”

For 2013, Coachman has continued to build on last year’s successful redesign of its Pastiche, VIP and Laser models, introducing dramatic, panoramic windows, innovative new layouts and a host of new features including twin fixed beds and a rear bathroom for its Amara 565/4. Coachman has also developed a new layout for its Amara and Pastiche ranges, which the company hopes will appeal to the growing number of retired customers opting to enjoy longer breaks and take their grandchildren with them.
