Coachman, one of the UK's leading caravan manufacturers, has built a steadfast reputation for unrivalled quality and first class customer service since its first year of production in 1986. It is this reputation and commitment to producing the best caravans possible, that has attracted caravan enthusiast Graham Buchanan back to Coachman almost every time he has upgraded his van throughout the past 20 years.
In fact, Graham is currently enjoying his 12th Coachman caravan - a VIP 520/4. "Me and my wife love Coachman for two reasons", said Graham. "Firstly, Coachman is streets ahead when it comes to quality. As soon as you step into a Coachman you can immediately see and feel the build quality. It's this quality that has never let us down in 20 years of caravanning. Secondly, the customer service we receive from our dealer, Crossburn Caravans of Peebles, is second to none. We are based just outside Perth in Scotland, so it's a round trip of about 150 miles to get to our dealer - but it's worth it for the service we receive."
Graham strayed from Coachman only once back in 2000, and lasted just nine months before he came back to his trusted manufacturer, as Graham explains: "We bought our first Coachman in 1986 - back during the company's first year of production. By the year 2000, we were ready for a change, so we tried a different manufacturer. Unfortunately, after nine months we were ready to give this caravan up and returned to Coachman, as we had so many problems with this van that we had never experienced before - such as faulty woodwork and fixtures falling apart."
Graham continues: "I can safely say that we have, and do not intend to stray from Coachman again. We take our caravan away for about 14 weeks of the year - so we need a van we can rely on. We were one of the original members of the Coachman Owners Club and have come to know Jim Hibbs and the Coachman team personally over the past 20 years, so it wouldn't feel right buying any other caravan now. Our favourite van over the years has to be the VIP - based upon the interior woodwork and upholstery. We are not sure if we will upgrade this year or not - our current van is about a year old. When we do however - I'm sure it will be a Coachman!"
Jim Hibbs comments on Graham's loyalty to Coachman: "It's great to hear from customers such as Graham, who have been loyal to us since our first year of production. Every year we strive to make our vans better and our primary objective is to produce quality caravans that stand the test of time. I'm delighted that this quality has been recognised by Graham, and I'm glad our vans have, and are currently serving him well."
